Recently Generated Courses window
QuickCreatePro v2 now allows you to save generated courses wherever you wish - for example, your local hard drive or a network drive.
All courses that you generate can be found in the Recently Generated Courses window.

The Recently Generated Courses window will store up to the last 32,000 courses generated. Using the options in this window, you can reload courses instantly, open their folders and re-calculate the print costs. You can also remove generated courses which no longer exist (courses which may have been moved or deleted).

Copy Coursework Files
In the Recently Generated Courses window one of the options now when you right-click is the addition of an option to copy that course's Coursework Files to a given path.
The destination may be the floppy drive, a USB flash drive, or even another folder on your network!
Ideal for the times when you wish to have one unified repository of Coursework Files for your users.

Using QuickCreatePro v2, you can now view course, chapter or topic properties. This is ideal for when you are not sure if you, or someone else, have made any changes to the source file recently.

Customisable Course Timing Estimates
QuickCreatePro v2 now lets you know approximately how long a student will take to complete your custom course.

Because every individual learns at a different pace, you can customise the estimated time for completion of each topic. QuickCreatePro v2 will then calculate the estimated time to complete the course based on the estimates you have given.

Auto save DAT file with every generated course
QuickCreatePro v2 now saves your course structure automatically in an Auto save DAT file in the course folder. This allows you to add or delete new topics after you have created a
course. Simply open the course within QuickCreatePro v2, and the course as you originally customised it is available for you to edit.

Choosing applications is now drag and drop with icons instead of simply text
QuickCreatePro v1 required you to find and select a specific course within a list and click Add or Add All. Using QuickCreatePro v2 you can now drag and drop applications. In addition, to make it easier to identify the program application, you are now able to see icons that represent each of the applications.

Courses are grouped by application
QuickCreatePro v1 displayed the available courses in a text list of semi-grouped courses. This style worked very well until more than 15 grouped courses were found, after which it started to affect the simplicity of QuickCreate as you could spend a lot of time finding the required courses.
QuickCreatePro v1:

In QuickCreatePro v2 the courses are grouped by application, and you can use the familiar and simple drag and drop functionality.

Save to folder is larger and more intuitive
With more room to see all available folders, and the option to click OK only when a folder is selected, the new Browse for folder dialog box is more intuitive and easier to use.

If you attempt to select a folder which is inaccessible, the OK button changes to a red cross. When you select an acceptable folder, it is a green tick.

Option to Find in selected courses
For QuickCreatePro v2, as part of the enhanced Find function, there is now a 'Find only in selected courses' option. This tells QuickCreatePro v2 to search for the given keyword in only the selected courses!

As an example, if you wished to search for all instances of the term "Gantt", but only in Intermediate Standard Microsoft Project 2003 course, you would select the Intermediate Standard Microsoft Project 2003 course and then click Find all. It's as easy as that!

Find next function added
As part of the enhanced QuickCreatePro v2 Find function, the Find next function searches for the given string from the currently selected point in the tree view. If you are at the top of the Available Courses tree view, the Find next function will find the next result. This is useful if you are searching for a popular keyword that may appear many times throughout a course. Once QuickCreatePro v2 has reached the end of a course, you will be asked if you want to retry from the beginning.

Find next in Selected courses
In QuickCreateProv2, the Find next, and Find in selected courses functions have been combined to allow you to search, step by step, in the courses you have selected to search within.

Option to disable Advanced Find features
If you discover that some of the new Find features are not required, you can turn off the advanced searching capabilities. Within the Program Options you can turn off the Advanced Searching capabilities that you do not require.

Option to stop the SuperHelp course from automatically loading
Since the SuperHelp course is not needed when creating a course in Microsoft Word, QuickCreatePro v2 now has the option to indefinitely prevent the SuperHelp course from loading automatically!

Option to replace all triple line breaks with double line breaks
To ensure consistency throughout the generated course, QuickCreatePro v2 has the option to replace all triple line breaks with double line breaks.

Option to remove all manual page breaks
QuickCreatePro v2, for more efficient use of space and page saving, now gives you the option to remove all the page breaks within a document. By using this option, you can result in a several page decrease in the final course, but ultimately it is a compromise as it also means that the chapter learning objectives are on the same page as the content.

Toggle adding Chapter Learning Objectives to your course
If you do not require Chapter Learning Objectives, QuickCreatePro v2 now allows you to turn off the automatic creation of the Chapter Learning Objectives.
You may want to do this if, for example, you have your own content imported within QuickCreatePro, and the Learning Objectives have interfered with your own house style.

Ability to select a different Word Document for the Front Page
In QuickCreatePro v2, the process of customising the front page has been made even simpler. You can now select a different document for your custom front page, and can also choose whether this overrides the supplied front page for both Professional and ECDL/ICDL content. If you want to revert to the supplied document, you can do so easily with a click of the mouse.

Redesigned the Options User Interface for greater ease of use
In QuickCreatePro v2 there is now one unified options dialog box, in which all the program customisation options can be found.

Even easier to edit Course DAT Files within QuickCreatePro
QuickCreatePro v2 now gives you the option to open and edit the DAT file of every single course. You simply right-click the file and choose Edit source file, in exactly the same way as you would edit a Chapter or Topic.

Ability to edit all Topics within a Chapter with one click
In addition to editing the source file of every Chapter and Topic in the course, using QuickCreatePro v2 you can now right-click a chapter and then choose to open just the Chapter source file, or the Chapter along will all the Topics within it!

Option to Password Protect Editing
Since the ability to make advanced customisations to the source files within QuickCreatePro v2 is now so simple, there have been issues arising from nervous network administrators and training managers who would like staff to be able to use QuickCreatePro, but not change the source files.
New to QuickCreatePro v2 is the option to require authentication before being able to proceed with editing the source files, and changing other program options such as the template and front page.
This is the authentication password dialog box which is displayed every time a restricted function is selected. It is worth noting however that the password protection is not enabled by default; the option to enable it is located within the program options.

View as well as Create Coursework Folders
If you choose to input your own content into QuickCreatePro, there is now a function that automatically creates a Coursework folder for your own Coursework and Exercise Files.
To view this folder, right-click on a Chapter or Topic and choose the View Coursework Folder option.

If there is already a Coursework Folder associated with the content, Windows Explorer will open and navigate to the folder for you.
However, if there is no Coursework Folder associated with it, QuickCreatePro will ask you if you would like a Coursework Folder to be created.

Pressing Yes will create a folder for that Chapter. Once it is then created, Windows Explorer will open and navigate to the folder for you.

Advanced Course Importing
For course administration and advanced importing of courses from other sources on your network/pc/removable drive, you can now use the Advanced Course Import
functionality to allow you to simply and easily import courses from other installations or repositories into your installation.

The Advanced Course Import function is useful if you have either multiple installations and wish to share the content, or have additional materials supplied but do not wish to change your installation which would otherwise happen if automatically updating.
